Rugby league history
Jubilee Oval was St George's home throughout the club's world-record 11 consecutive premierships from 1956 to 1966, and has remained a home venue for the merged St George Illawarra Dragons since 1999. The ground closed for grandstand construction from 1986-1988, and has had several further upgrades since the Dragons' 2003 return, including new seating, floodlights (2006), and grandstand extensions in 2008, 2010/11 and 2019, taking capacity to around 20,500.
