Name history
- Sydney Cricket Ground No. 2 / SCG No. 2 Ground — no name change found; related to, but distinct from, the adjacent Sydney Sports Ground (No. 1)
Rugby league history
A secondary/overflow ground within the SCG/Moore Park sporting precinct, used mainly for lower-grade and curtain-raiser rugby league fixtures in the early-to-mid 20th century — distinct from the main SCG (cricket/AFL) and the adjacent Sydney Sports Ground, though the two were closely related sites. No Test matches or Challenge Cup finals found; the most recent recorded rugby league fixture was a Country Carnival match between Far North Coast and Newcastle, 2 Jun 1927. Demolished in 1986 along with the main Sydney Sports Ground to make way for the Sydney Football Stadium (opened 1988), so this venue no longer exists.
