Rugby league history

Trent Bridge is one of England's most famous Test cricket grounds. Its single recorded rugby league fixture came on 6 December 1911, during the 1911-12 Kangaroo Tour: England XIII beat the touring Australasia side 5-3 in front of 3,000 spectators, one of the tourists' few defeats on that tour. It is a notable case of a major cricket ground hosting a top-level rugby league international.
