Wentworth Park

Sydney (Glebe), New South Wales, Australia

Wentworth Park, Sydney (Glebe), Australia — opened 1908, 467 rugby league games hosted, home of Glebe Dirty Reds (1908-1929, a foundation NSWRFL club that folded from the competition).

Sourcing caveat: No NSWRFL Grand Final at this ground was identified in sources found, and the database's total games-hosted figure and 'used 1908-2026' continuous-activity line are not fully corroborated by the sources checked — rugby league only returned there occasionally from 2018 onward.

Rugby league history

Wentworth Park was the home ground of the Glebe Dirty Reds, one of the NSWRFL's nine foundation clubs in 1908, for almost the whole of their 22-season top-flight history before the club was voted out of the competition at the end of 1929. Balmain played some home fixtures there in the years immediately after, with the last recorded top-flight match in 1931, before the ground's long conversion to a greyhound racing venue — itself now scheduled to end in 2026.
