1945 NFL Season — Final Standings
Final regular-season standings. Pittsburgh and the Chicago Cardinals both resumed fully independent operation, effectively winding down the league's wartime-merger era — except for Brooklyn, whose depleted franchise merged into the Boston Yanks (playing as a combined "Yanks" team splitting home games between Fenway Park and Yankee Stadium) and was then formally dissolved after the season, the true end of the Brooklyn NFL franchise rather than a temporary wartime pause. Cleveland beat Washington for the championship in a tightly-fought 15-14 game.
