1946 Season — Final Standings (NFL & AAFC)

Final regular-season standings for both leagues in the first year of pro football's landmark two-league era. The AAFC's Cleveland Browns immediately proved the superior product on the field, going 12-2 and beating the New York Yankees for the first of what would become four straight AAFC titles; the arrival of the Browns in Cleveland directly caused the NFL's Cleveland Rams to relocate to Los Angeles this same season, becoming the LA Rams and making the NFL the first coast-to-coast major pro sports league. The NFL crowned the Chicago Bears champions over the Giants.
