1947 Season — Final Standings (NFL & AAFC)

Final regular-season standings. Philadelphia and Pittsburgh tied atop the NFL Eastern Division at 8-4-0, forcing the league's first-ever divisional playoff game (won by the Eagles), though the Western Division's Chicago Cardinals went on to beat Philadelphia for the NFL title. In the AAFC, the addition of the Baltimore Colts (replacing the folded, one-year-only Miami Seahawks) rounded out an 8-team, two-division league that remained thoroughly one-sided at the top: Cleveland again ran through the West undefeated in division play and beat New York again for the championship.
