1952 NFL Season — Final Standings
Final regular-season standings for a financially disastrous season for the league's newest transplant: the New York Yanks had relocated to Dallas as the Texans, but poor attendance forced the team to surrender its franchise to the league in November, finishing the schedule as a de facto orphan playing home games in Akron and Detroit rather than Dallas. The Texans folded for good after the season, their assets awarded to a new Baltimore ownership group the following year. On the field, Detroit beat a tied Los Angeles in a National Conference playoff en route to the franchise's first title since 1935.
