Match report
St Helens beat Huddersfield Giants 42-22 at Knowsley Road on 24 September 2010 in a Super League Qualifying Semi-Final — the fixture St Helens picked for themselves under the era's "club call" rule, choosing Huddersfield over a red-hot Wigan Warriors side. It was also the final competitive match ever played at Knowsley Road, St Helens' home ground since 1890, ahead of the club's move away for 2011 and 2012; retiring club captain Keiron Cunningham, who also scored a try in the match, scored the ground's final-ever try. St Helens led 18-16 at half-time before pulling clear.
