2000 Super League — Final Ladder
Wigan Warriors finished top of the table, but St Helens won the Grand Final 29-16 over Wigan, their second consecutive Super League title. No League Leaders' Shield existed yet (introduced 2003).
Sourcing caveat: 12 clubs this season (down from 14 in 1999), reflecting two real mergers/takeovers rather than ordinary promotion and relegation: Gateshead Thunder's Super League place effectively passed to Hull FC (who reverted from "Hull Sharks" to "Hull FC" this season), and Huddersfield Giants merged operationally with Sheffield Eagles to play as "Huddersfield-Sheffield Giants" for this one season only (a reborn, separately-owned Sheffield Eagles re-entered lower-tier rugby league the same year). Salford's club was now "Salford City Reds" (up from "Salford Reds"). No salary-cap or administration point deductions applied within the 2000 season table itself, though Wakefield Trinity Wildcats' conduct during this season was later found to be a salary-cap breach, penalised on the 2001 ladder instead.
