Semi-Final, 2025 Super League finals series: Hull Kingston Rovers 20–12 St Helens, at Sewell Group Craven Park, Hull on 4 Oct 2025.
Sourcing caveat: The goal-kicking attempt/miss breakdown is not fully consistent across sources (one source lists a second kicker, Rhyse Martin, with 0/3 attempts, which doesn't cleanly reconcile with a play-by-play narrative describing only Mourgue kicking). Sky Sports' scoring breakdown confirms Mourgue converted only Lewis's try (1/4 conversions) plus the early penalty goal — Gildart's two tries and Burgess's try were all unconverted — which reconciles exactly to the 20-12 final score; this corrects an earlier version of this entry that had overstated Mourgue's conversions to 2/3, over-crediting Hull KR by 2 points. No source confirmed an official player-of-the-match award; Oliver Gildart was the player most credited in post-match coverage.

Match report
Hull Kingston Rovers booked a second consecutive Super League Grand Final appearance with a 20-12 win over St Helens in the play-off semi-final at Sewell Group Craven Park on 4 October 2025. The Robins, who had already secured the League Leaders' Shield and the Challenge Cup during a dominant 2025 campaign, raced into a 12-0 half-time lead built on an Arthur Mourgue penalty goal after Jack Welsby was sin-binned for a professional foul, a converted Mikey Lewis try, and an unconverted Joe Burgess score. St Helens, well beaten in the first half by their coach Paul Wellens' own admission, rallied after the break through Deon Cross's dummy-and-step try, converted by Jonny Lomax, to trail 12-6. However, a costly St Helens error gifted Hull KR field position, and Oliver Gildart scored twice in the closing quarter to put the tie beyond doubt at 20-6, before Harry Robertson's late converted try only narrowed the final margin. The victory sent Hull KR back to Old Trafford to face Wigan Warriors in pursuit of a historic domestic treble.
