Rugby league history
Rugby league is a rare visitor to Arsenal's home — this is, on current record, the only rugby league match ever played at the Emirates Stadium. It was chosen as a host venue for the 2021 Rugby League World Cup and staged one of the tournament's defining matches: the semi-final on 12 November 2022, in which Samoa beat England 27–26 after Stephen Crichton's golden-point drop goal in extra time, denying England a home final and sending Samoa to their first ever World Cup final. The match drew a crowd of 40,489, among the largest attendances in the tournament.
Primarily Arsenal F.C.'s Premier League football stadium.
