Name history

  • Lamport Stadium / Allan A. Lamport Stadium — since opening in 1976, no name change found; named after longtime Toronto mayor Allan Lamport. Informally nicknamed 'The Den' during Toronto Wolfpack matches.

Rugby league history

A long-standing multi-purpose municipal stadium in Toronto's Liberty Village area, notable in rugby league primarily as the home of the groundbreaking transatlantic professional club Toronto Wolfpack (2017-2020, then a 2023 return) — the first rugby league club to compete in the British league system from outside Europe — and as home venue for the Canada national rugby league team. Hosted the inaugural Americas Rugby League Nines tournament in May 2019. Wolfpack's highest home attendance was 9,974 vs Featherstone Rovers, 5 Oct 2019. Not every Wolfpack 'home' fixture was actually played here: one 2018 match relocated to Fletcher's Fields, Markham, during a resurfacing; some 2018-2019 fixtures were played in London for profile-building; in 2020, Super League-scheduled home games moved to UK neutral venues (Leeds, Warrington, York) due to weather and COVID-era logistics.

Also used by multiple football/soccer clubs, Toronto Argonauts (CFL, practice facility), Toronto Nationals (lacrosse), Ryerson Rams (athletics), and Toronto Rush (ultimate frisbee).
