Rugby league history
Carrara Stadium was the full-time home of the Gold Coast Chargers from 1996 until the club's expulsion from the ARL at the end of 1998 — a defunct predecessor to today's Gold Coast Titans, who were established separately in 2007 and play at Cbus Super Stadium. The ground has since been rebuilt and rebranded multiple times, and is now the AFL's Gold Coast Suns' home.
