- Tattersfield — since 1959 (renamed in honour of Len Tattersfield, former club chairman)
Rugby league history
Tattersfield — known as Bentley Road Stadium until being renamed after former chairman Len Tattersfield — was Doncaster R.L.F.C.'s home for over four decades, spanning the club's entire post-war history in the lower divisions. Its high point came in 1993-94, when Doncaster reached the top flight of English rugby league for the only time in the original club's history, including a live-televised Sky Sports match against Widnes at the ground in that promotion-winning campaign. The club was unable to sustain top-flight finances, however, and folded into liquidation shortly after playing its final match at Tattersfield on 23 April 1995 — a 16-50 defeat to Workington Town in front of 2,975 fans. The ground was subsequently sold for housing and Doncaster's later incarnations moved through a series of temporary and shared grounds (including Belle Vue, shared with Doncaster Rovers) before eventually settling at what is now the Eco-Power Stadium.
