The Boulevard

Hull (Kingston upon Hull), East Riding of Yorkshire, England

The Boulevard, Hull (Kingston upon Hull), England — opened 1895/96, 2,077 rugby league games hosted, home of Hull FC (until 2002/03; demolished).

Sourcing caveat: The Boulevard is documented as having hosted matches in four different Rugby League World Cups, but only three specific fixtures (1970, and two in 2000) could be independently confirmed with date/score/opponents — the fourth is reported here as unconfirmed rather than guessed.

Rugby league history

Home for over a century, hosting international Tests against Australia and New Zealand from 1907 through to 2002, plus four Rugby League World Cup fixtures. A 1921 Test drew a reported 21,504 spectators, well above its final capacity of around 10,500. Hull FC's last competitive home fixture was a Test loss to New Zealand on 22 October 2002; the club moved to the newly built KC Stadium (now MKM Stadium) for the 2003 season. The ground was demolished in 2010; a school with a memorial to the stadium now occupies the site.
