Name history
Rugby league history
Waterhead Park is a public park east of Oldham town centre and the long-time home of amateur club Waterhead, noted by the town's semi-professional Oldham RLFC as having produced world-class players. The three matches recorded here are Challenge Cup preliminary and early-round ties against higher-level opposition: a 2011 loss to Egremont Rangers, and a pair of 2025 fixtures against Leigh Miners Rangers (a narrow win) and full-time Championship side Featherstone Rovers, who won 88-10 in the venue's most one-sided recorded result.
