2002 NFL Season — Final Standings

Final regular-season standings, the first season of the NFL's current 8-division, 32-team alignment: the expansion Houston Texans joined the AFC South, and the league split from 6 divisions (AFC/NFC East, Central, West) into 8, moving several teams into new divisions and even conferences of a kind — most notably Seattle Seahawks from the AFC West into the NFC West, and Arizona Cardinals from the NFC East into the NFC West, alongside Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers both moving into the newly formed NFC South. Atlanta Falcons took the final NFC wild-card spot at 9-6-1.
