Data last verified: 11 August 2026.
Elimination Play-off, 2014 Super League finals series: Leeds Rhinos 20–24 Catalans Dragons, at Headingley Carnegie Stadium, Leeds on 20 Sep 2014.
Sourcing caveat: Individual try minutes were not confirmed across sources and are omitted rather than guessed at. Tom Briscoe wore 20 here in his debut Leeds season, not the 2 he became associated with from 2015 onward (already on file for that and later seasons in this backlog) — plausible for a mid-2014 signing rather than an error, since Leeds' 2013 preseason squad list (published before Briscoe joined) had a different player, Ben Jones-Bishop, wearing 2.

Match report
Catalans Dragons won 24-20 at Headingley on 20 September 2014 in a Super League Elimination Play-off — their first-ever win at the ground. Leeds led 14-6 at half-time, but Zeb Taia and Louis Anderson brought Catalans level and ahead before Jamie Jones-Buchanan restored a Leeds lead; Sam Williams then scored the winning try in the final minute after a Tom Briscoe handling error. Leeds coach Brian McDermott said his side "weren't good enough at any period... to win it," while Catalans coach Laurent Frayssinous called the win "pretty special."
