Name history
Rugby league history
A large gap separates the amateur Bank Quay fixtures (2008-2013) from a single 2024 Women's Challenge Cup tie between two Super League-affiliated women's teams (Warrington Wolves Women and St Helens Women) -- notable as a top-tier women's cup match staged at what is otherwise an amateur ground, consistent with a pattern of Super League women's sides using satellite amateur grounds for early cup rounds. No finals or internationals; the venue's rugby league use appears intermittent rather than a permanent, continuously-active home ground.
