Rugby league history

The Canberra Raiders relocated to the venue (then Bruce Stadium) in 1990 and won the premiership that same year, and it has remained the club's home ground ever since. It has also hosted representative rugby league, including a 2008 Rugby League World Cup fixture (its first-ever Test) and the 2013 and 2017 Anzac Tests. The ground has never hosted a State of Origin match or an NRL Grand Final. In the 2025 NRL finals series it hosted a Qualifying Final on 14 September — a golden-point thriller in which Brisbane Broncos beat the Raiders 29-28 on a Ben Hunt field goal — and a Semi-Final on 20 September in which Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks beat the Raiders 32-12 to end Canberra's season.
