Lane Head, Brighouse, England — opened 1883, 186 rugby league games hosted, home of None (defunct: Brighouse Rangers, 1883-1906 and 1915).
Sourcing caveat: Sources found give the club's Northern Union/rugby league era at Lane Head as 1895-1906 (with a brief 1915 wartime-league reprise), consistent with this project's own directory figure of a 1895-1915 span for the ground; no source found gives a capacity or floodlighting date, so those fields have been omitted rather than guessed.

Rugby league history
Brighouse Rangers moved to Lane Head, off Waterloo Road, in 1883 after starting out at Fink Hill in 1879, initially as a rugby union club. They were a founder member of the Northern Rugby Football Union at the George Hotel meeting in Huddersfield in August 1895, and Lane Head hosted the club's Northern Union/rugby league fixtures - Yorkshire Senior Competition, Challenge Cup and county games - against the likes of Rochdale, Wakefield, Wigan, Hunslet, Halifax, Leeds, Hull and Huddersfield. The club's peak came in 1896-97, when they finished top of the 16-team Yorkshire Senior Competition to be crowned Yorkshire champions; a Champions v The Rest fixture at the ground that season drew around 3,000 spectators. Results fell away sharply in the early 1900s (a last-place finish in 1901-02), and the original club disbanded at its 1906 AGM. A new Brighouse Rangers side appeared in 1915 to play in wartime emergency competitions through 1918-19; an amateur Brighouse Rangers has been reformed several times since, though not continuously at Lane Head.
