Rugby league history
Opened 14 April 2019 on the site of the demolished old Parramatta Stadium (itself built on the earlier Cumberland Oval site), CommBank Stadium hosted the Eels' first NRL finals win at the venue on 15 September 2019, beating Brisbane 58-0 in a then-record finals margin. It also hosted a 2022 NRL Semi-Final in which the Eels beat Canberra 40-4 on their way to that year's Grand Final, plus Wallabies and All Blacks rugby union Tests and a 2023 Women's State of Origin game.
