Primarily an athletics venue, built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games and situated within Manchester's Sportcity/Etihad Campus, hosting UK Athletics championships and the Paralympic World Cup. Its rugby league history, independently re-checked via a direct fetch of Rugby League Project's own results page, comprises three matches: Oldham RLFC relocated a single 2017 Championship fixture against Batley here (crowd 578) while their usual ground at Bower Fold underwent pitch maintenance, and the venue subsequently hosted the Women's Super League Grand Final in both 2017 (Bradford Bulls beating Featherstone Rovers) and 2018 (Wigan Warriors beating Leeds Rhinos, crowd 1,189, the top figure recorded on this site).
