Data last verified: 11 August 2026.
Eliminator, 2025 Super League finals series: Leigh Leopards 26–10 Wakefield Trinity, at Leigh Sports Village, Leigh on 26 Sep 2025.
Sourcing caveat: Isaac Liu's try minute is given as 24' by Leigh's own site but 17' by Sky Sports — 24' used here as the more widely repeated figure. Leigh's kicking is reported as 5/5 conversions by most sources but as 4 conversions + 1 penalty goal by Sky Sports; both tallies reconcile arithmetically to 26 points, so the 5/5-conversions version is used. Player-of-the-match is inconsistently reported across sources (Leigh's own site names Joe Ofahengaue; a rival outlet splits it two ways) and is therefore omitted rather than asserted.

Match report
Leigh Leopards defeated Wakefield Trinity 26-10 in a Betfred Super League Eliminator at Leigh Sports Village on 26 September 2025. Leigh, who had finished nine points above Wakefield in the regular season, produced a near-flawless first half, racing to an 18-0 lead through tries from Keanan Brand, Isaac Liu and Josh Charnley, all converted by Gareth O'Brien. Wakefield, appearing in the play-offs for the first time in 13 years after promotion and a strong debut Super League campaign under Daryl Powell, hit back through Jayden Myers early in the second half, but Alec Tuitavake's try restored Leigh's cushion before a late Cameron Scott score, converted by Mason Lino, only trimmed the deficit. The result sent Leigh Leopards through to an away semi-final against second-placed Wigan Warriors for the second consecutive season, while Wakefield's promotion-season campaign ended at the first play-off hurdle.
