1999-2000 NBA Season Standings

The Los Angeles Lakers (67-15), in Phil Jackson's first year coaching Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant, won the first of three straight titles, beating the Indiana Pacers 4-2 in the Finals. Indiana (Central) and Miami (Atlantic) took the East's guaranteed top-2 division-winner seeds; Los Angeles (Pacific) and Utah (Midwest) did the same in the West even though Portland (59-23) had a better record than Utah (55-27). Charlotte and Philadelphia tied at 49-33 for the East's 4/5 seeds, and Detroit and Milwaukee tied at 42-40 for 7/8.
