1927-28 RFL Championship

Swinton beat Featherstone Rovers 11–0 in the Final at Watersheddings, Oldham, to win the top-4 knockout Championship — table leaders Swinton also topped the playoff. Pontypridd, a rare Welsh entrant, resigned after a single match and finished bottom with the wooden spoon.
