1968-69 Rugby Football League Championship
Leeds won the Championship, topping a 30-club Division One table then beating Castleford 16-14 in the Final. Decided by a 16-club single-elimination knockout drawn from the top 16 of the table (Round 1, Round 2, Semi-Final, Final) — corrected 9 Sep 2026 from earlier site text describing this era as a "top-4" playoff, which research proved wrong (Salford, 6th, beat Wigan, 3rd, in Round 2).
