|---|---|---|---|
| 2017 | Stanningley | Oulton Raidettes | Won 28-10 in the Grand Final. Inaugural season, single unified national league. |
| 2018 | Stanningley | Leigh Miners Rangers | Won 20-12 in the Grand Final. |

| 2021 | Leigh Miners Rangers | Barrow | Won 10-6 in the Grand Final. |
| 2022 | Oulton Raidettes | Salford Red Devils | Won 33-14 in the Grand Final. |
| 2023 | Hull Kingston Rovers | Oulton Raidettes | Won 30-16 in the Grand Final. Last season under the single unified national-league format before a 2024 restructure. |
| 2024 | Leigh Leopards | London Broncos | Won 22-18 in the National Championship Final (Alexander Stadium, Birmingham, 29 Sep 2024). The RFL's originally announced plan was four regional divisions (North, Roses, Midlands, South); what actually ran was three groups (Northern 9 teams, Southern 4 teams, and a non-competitive Midlands "festival format" ineligible for the national final) due to insufficient team numbers. Leigh (Northern champions) and London (Southern champions) met in the national final; Leigh then beat Featherstone Rovers 34-16 in a promotion play-off to reach the Super League. |
| 2025 | Featherstone Rovers | London Broncos | Won 20-10 in the Northern Championship Grand Final (28 Sep 2025), which functioned as the de facto national title/promotion decider (no separate cross-regional national final was held this year, unlike 2024). Again three regional divisions (Northern 11 teams, Midlands 6, Southern 5). Featherstone secured an immediate return to the Betfred Women's Super League after their relegation the previous year. Independently re-verified by the assistant. |
2024 restructure
The RFL's originally announced plan was four regional divisions (North, Roses, Midlands, South). What actually ran, in both 2024 and 2025, was three groups (Northern, Southern, and a smaller, non-competitive Midlands "festival format" ineligible for the national final) due to insufficient team numbers in some regions. In 2024 the Northern and Southern champions met in a separate National Championship Final; in 2025 no separate national final was held and the Northern Championship Grand Final served as the de facto national/promotion decider instead.
