Data last verified: 11 August 2026.
Semi-Final, 1933 NRL finals series: Newtown 17–12 South Sydney Rabbitohs, at Sydney Sports Ground, Sydney, NSW on 26 Aug 1933.
Sourcing caveat: South Sydney's confirmed scoring - Wearing and Young (1 try each) plus McDonald's 2 successful goals - totals 10, 2 short of the recorded 12. Repeated queries of the source page were internally inconsistent (one pass dropped the Wearing/Young rows entirely, and McDonald's goal count was consistently 2 but never enough to close the gap on its own), and no field-goal or further scoring row was found. Reported as a genuine, unresolved 2-point shortfall rather than an invented scorer.
