1977 NSWRFL Season — Final Regular-Season Ladder

22 rounds, 12 teams. 2 points for a win, 1 for a draw. No evidence was found of a genuine breakaway/rival NSWRFL premiership in 1977 — the only additional 1977 competition involving these clubs was the Amco Cup, a separate mid-season sponsored knockout cup, not a rival premiership; the ladder below is the sole official NSWRFL (J.J. Giltinan Shield) premiership table. Balmain and Manly-Warringah tied on 28 points (Balmain ranked 4th on superior differential); Canterbury-Bankstown and North Sydney tied on 21 points (Canterbury ranked 7th on superior differential). Grand Final was a 9-9 draw, the first in NSWRFL history, requiring a replay (St. George won the replay 22-0) despite Parramatta topping the regular-season ladder.
