1999 NRL Season — Final Regular-Season Ladder
17 clubs — the last season before South Sydney and North Sydney were cut from the competition (Souths excluded outright, Norths forced into a merger to form the Northern Eagles) ahead of the 2000 season. Reduced from the 20-club 1998 competition by removing Adelaide Rams, Gold Coast Chargers and Western Reds. A 26-round draw with 2 byes per club (24 games played). South Sydney fought a legal battle over their axing and were reinstated for the 2002 season.
