Clive Churchill Medal
Jack Wighton (Canberra Raiders). One of the rare instances the Clive Churchill Medal has gone to a player on the losing team.
Match context
The Roosters won back-to-back premierships — the first club to do so in 26 years, since Brisbane in 1992-93. The match is remembered for a controversial reversed "six again" call by referee Ben Cummins in the 71st minute, immediately preceding the match-winning try. It was Canberra's first Grand Final appearance since 1994.
