Match report
29 Jul 1924, SCG. Halftime: Balmain 3, South Sydney 0 (all scoring occurred in the first half). Balmain's Charles Fraser missed both his conversion attempts (0/2); South Sydney's Harold Horder missed his only goal attempt (0/1) with no try scored, likely a penalty-goal attempt. This was the lowest-scoring NSWRFL Final to that point and the first time a team had been held scoreless in a Final. It is also historically notable as the first rugby league match broadcast on radio, with commentary from Balmain secretary Bob Savage.
