Data last verified: 11 August 2026.
Major Semi-Final, 1962 NRL finals series: St. George 30–9 Newtown, at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney, NSW on 1 Sep 1962.
Sourcing caveat: St George's named scorers (3 tries + 6 goals = 21) fall 9 points short of the recorded 30, equivalent to 3 further uncredited tries. Repeat, targeted re-checks of the source confirmed only Reg Gasnier's 3 tries are named. Reported honestly rather than inventing further scorers. Newtown's figures reconcile exactly.
