Minor Semi-Final, 1998 NRL finals series: Melbourne Storm 24–10 Canberra Raiders, at AAMI Park, Melbourne, VIC on 5 Sep 1998.
Sourcing caveat: The official Rugby League Project box score (obtained directly) resolved all 5 Melbourne tries and both Canberra tries — previously only Tony Martin's brace and Brett Mullins's try could be confirmed from a season-summary extraction, with the other 3 Melbourne tries and 1 Canberra try recorded as unconfirmed. The same box score corrected several lineup numbers: Melbourne's Ben Roarty/Danny Williams/Russell Bawden were reassigned to their actual numbers (8, 9 and 12 respectively), and the bench to Matt Rua/Wayne Evans/John Carlaw/Richard Swain. Canberra's positional reshuffle from the earlier Minor Preliminary Semi-Final is now precisely known: Luke Davico moved from starting prop to the bench, Brett Hetherington moved from second row to starting prop, and Ben Kennedy came into the second row — not simply a like-for-like personnel swap as an earlier pass had assumed. Geoff McNamara moved to the bench (in for Ken Nagas at wing) and still took the one missed goal-kicking attempt recorded for him.
