Match report
The Bulldogs, fresh off their 2004 salary-cap-scandal rebuild, cruised past a Canberra side that had snuck into eighth. Hazem El Masri was perfect off the tee and scored a try himself, while five different Bulldogs crossed for tries. Sonny Bill Williams started at lock in his first finals series. The win sent Canterbury straight through to a bye in Week 2, while Canberra's season ended.
