Match report
Melbourne, missing suspended captain Cameron Smith (replaced at hooker by Russell Aitken) and with Cooper Cronk taking over the captaincy, produced a ruthless defensive and attacking display to blank Cronulla and reach a second straight Grand Final. Steve Turner's double and a commanding half-time lead put the result beyond doubt early, continuing Melbourne's habit of playing their best football deep in the finals despite the opening-week loss that started their campaign.
