Match report
Penrith took control from the boot early, with Nathan Cleary landing two penalty goals either side of Paul Alamoti's opening try (22') to lead 10-2 at halftime. Cronulla's only points came via a Nicho Hynes penalty goal and a Sione Katoa try in the 59th minute, the conversion of which Hynes pushed wide from the sideline. Penrith pulled away after the break through Brian To'o (62') finishing a Cleary kick and a second Alamoti try (65'), before Liam Martin (76') sealed it by pouncing on a Jarome Luai grubber, with Alamoti converting his own team-mate's try. The 26-6 win extended Penrith's finals win streak to a premiership-record 11 straight and sent them to a fifth consecutive Grand Final against Melbourne.
