Semi-Final, 1943 NRL finals series: St. George 12–5 Balmain Tigers, at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney, NSW on 21 Aug 1943.
Sourcing caveat: St George's source lineup for this match is given as position/name only, without jersey numbers, unlike every other match in this round - left blank rather than invented. RLP's scoresheet lists Lindwall and McAndrew together with a single '(2 tries)' note, the same ambiguous notation seen in the 1940 SF1 (Dunn/Norval) - the 1-each/2-total reading is the one that reconciles with the 12-point score and is used here, mirroring how that earlier ambiguity was resolved.
