Balmain Tigers 9–5 North Sydney Bears — Playoff, 1945 NRL Finals Series

Playoff, 1945 NRL finals series: Balmain Tigers 9–5 North Sydney Bears, at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney, NSW on 16 Aug 1945.

Sourcing caveat: RLP's extraction repeatedly gave Jorgenson (Balmain) 2 goals, but this does not reconcile with the 9-5 score or the 2-2 halftime (which implies Balmain's whole 9-point tally, beyond the two first-half penalty goals, came from a try plus further goals). 3 goals for Jorgenson is the only figure that reconciles; the exact split of those goals across the two halves is not independently confirmed.
