Minor Semi-Final, 1974 NRL finals series: Western Suburbs Magpies 23–20 Manly-Warringah, at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney, NSW on 8 Sep 1974.
Sourcing caveat: Western Suburbs' named scorers (2 tries + 7 goals = 20) fall 3 points short of the recorded 23. Manly's named scorers (1 try + 4 goals = 11) fall 9 points short of the recorded 20, a substantial and unresolved gap -- Manly led 15-9 at halftime and clearly scored further tries in the second half that the source's extraction did not surface despite repeat attempts. Both gaps reported honestly; no additional scorers invented.
