Sourcing caveat: Try-scoring minutes are not available in any source checked, only that Brisbane led 18-0 at halftime. Referee names come from a single source (rugbyleagueproject.org) and were not corroborated elsewhere. rugbyleagueproject.org's own records label this match a 'Qualifying Final' rather than 'Elimination Final'; this site follows the structural naming convention already used for 2012-2025 (3v6 pairing), not a factual discrepancy.

Match report

Brisbane hosted New Zealand at Suncorp Stadium in the opening week of the 2011 finals, with the Broncos entering as the higher seed after finishing third on the regular-season ladder, a win guaranteeing them a home semi-final the following week. Brisbane dominated from the outset, racing to an 18-0 halftime lead built on tries to Alex Glenn, Jack Reed and club legend Darren Lockyer, with Corey Parker's boot adding the extras. The Warriors could not find a foothold in the opening 40 minutes. After the break Brisbane continued to pour it on, with Andrew McCullough, Corey Parker and Justin Hodges crossing to push the margin out further, before Gerard Beale added a late try to complete a seven-try rout. New Zealand's only response came through Feleti Mateo and a trademark finish from winger Manu Vatuvei, with James Maloney adding one conversion. Corey Parker was the outstanding performer with 6 from 8 goals plus a try, while Lockyer's try in one of his final finals campaigns was a highlight for the home crowd. The result eliminated the Warriors' finals hopes for that week, while Brisbane advanced to a Semi-Final.
