Elimination Final, 2015 NRL finals series: Canterbury-Bankstown 11–10 St George Illawarra, at ANZ Stadium, Sydney, NSW on 12 Sep 2015.
Sourcing caveat: Sources differ slightly on Shaun Lane's 78th-minute try — one account describes a Lane try being disallowed for offside near full-time, but the final scoreline arithmetic (try + conversion, try + field goal) only reconciles if Lane's try was awarded, so that version is used here. rugbyleagueproject.org's own database labels this fixture 'Qualifying Final' despite it being structurally an Elimination Final by ladder seeding (5th v 8th) — this site follows the structural/media convention instead. No official player-of-the-match award could be confirmed.

Match report
Canterbury-Bankstown hosted St George Illawarra at ANZ Stadium in a knockout Elimination Final that went all the way to golden point. The Bulldogs led 6-0 at halftime through a Brett Morris try converted by Moses Mbye, but the Dragons — hampered by injuries to key playmakers — clawed back late through winger Eto Nabuli's 76th-minute try, converted by Gareth Widdop, before a Widdop penalty goal edged St George Illawarra ahead inside the final five minutes. Canterbury regained the lead when Shaun Lane crossed in the 78th minute, but Widdop's cool penalty goal after the siren locked the scores at 10-10 and forced extra time. Five-eighth Josh Reynolds settled it with a golden-point field goal, sending the Bulldogs through to face Sydney Roosters in the semi-finals and ending St George Illawarra's season.
