Match report
Canterbury raced to a 16-12 half-time lead built on early tries to Jacob Kiraz, Viliame Kikau and Stephen Crichton, with Manly hitting back through Tommy Talau and Josh Bullemor before the break. The Bulldogs extended their lead through Jacob Kingsley Skelton in the 47th minute, but Manly stormed back, scoring through captain Daly Cherry-Evans in the 55th minute and then Tolu Koula late via a length-of-field team try to snatch a 24-22 lead. Bulldogs five-eighth Matt Burton missed two late field-goal attempts that would have levelled the scores, sealing Manly's progression to Week 2 against the Roosters and ending Canterbury's finals campaign.
