Match report

Played in poor Auckland weather, this was a tight, error-affected contest that Penrith's control gradually pulled away with. Isaiah Papali'i put the Panthers ahead in the first half, and although the Warriors stayed competitive through Leka Halasima's try (playing out of position at centre) plus a Tanah Boyd penalty and conversion, Penrith's kicking game under Nathan Cleary told in the second half as Brad Schneider, Casey McLean and Brian To'o crossed to complete a 24-8 win. The result ended the Warriors' season and kept Penrith's bid for a fifth straight premiership alive.
