Match report
In a major upset, the Dragons — who had finished sixth — travelled to Suncorp Stadium and dismantled the Broncos in front of a huge home crowd. Four different Dragons scored tries (Bailey, Cooper, Gorrell and fullback Clint Greenshields), while Brisbane could only respond through a solitary Darius Boyd try. The result forced Wayne Bennett's heavily fancied Broncos into the 'second chance' semi-final route — the start of a season-defining four-final winning run.
