Match report
This was the result that kick-started Parramatta's underdog run — the 8th-placed Eels, who had been as low as 14th mid-season, travelled to Kogarah and beat the minor premiers on their own turf. Jarryd Hayne was outstanding at fullback, and four different try-scorers reflected an even, clinical attacking performance. Luke Burt was faultless off the tee and added a field goal. The Dragons, coached by Wayne Bennett, could manage only tries to Dan Hunt and Brett Morris.
