Match report
This straight-knockout semi-final at Allianz Stadium saw Canterbury-Bankstown race to a commanding early lead, scoring three tries inside the first 20 minutes through Mitch Brown, Corey Thompson and Sam Perrett, aided by Trent Hodkinson's and Tim Lafai's boots. Manly, missing several key forwards to injury, staged a determined fightback: Jayden Hodges crossed on the stroke of half-time, and second-half tries to Brett Stewart and Cheyse Blair — the latter following a costly Michael Ennis fumble — hauled the Sea Eagles level. Daly Cherry-Evans' clutch field goal tied the scores at the death to force extra time after a wild finish that included a Reni Maitua sin-binning for punching. In golden point, Hodkinson, who had already booted one regulation-time field goal, slotted the decisive extra-time field goal to send the Bulldogs through 18-17, ending Manly's premiership campaign.
